Paving of New UPC Parking Lot to Finish Today Posted on 10/28/2009
Fargo, ND - The Metro Sports Foundation has announced that paving of the new 525-spot parking lot at the Urban Plains Center will be completed today. Additional markings will be finished in upcoming days. The lot, heavily anticipated by customers of the arena, will be ready for use for Friday and Saturday's Fargo Force games.
"We are very happy that after much anticipation and a short delay due to rainy weather that the parking lot is finally usable," said Lance Johnson, general manager of the Urban Plains Center. "We thank our customers for their patience with us as we have worked to offer a better parking experience and are glad to finally be able to make good on that promise."
With the paving finished, shuttle service for Force games will be suspended, including those from the Mexican Village parking lot on 45th Street South. The arena had previously used shuttles to supplement on-site parking while the parking lot was under construction.
