Andrew Olson - Facility Operations Manager
Joining the Urban Plains Center and Metro Sports Foundation staff in August of 2009, Andy Olson serves as the facility operations manager for the arena. His primary duties include ensuring the overall efficient operation of the Urban Plains Center, maintenance of the building and grounds included in the Urban Plains Center footprint as well as managing the ice and ice cooling systems. He also is responsible for set up and conversion of the building for all Urban Plains Center events.
Prior to arriving at the Urban Plains Center, Olson worked for the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul and St. Cloud State University. While at each location, he was part of the facility operations and event management departments including all Minnesota Wild events and concerts such as Taylor Swift and Rascal Flatts at the Xcel.
Hailing from International Falls, Minn., Olson graduated from St. Cloud State University with a degree in recreation and sports management.
Currently, Andrew resides in south Fargo. In his spare time, he enjoys playing hockey and spending time with his family outdoors. He also likes to watch all types of sporting events, but his all-time favorite sports team is the Minnesota Twins.
